A player that is lagging does not drop the flag

bebo321 1 year ago • updated by SHOAIB (Moderator (EN)) 1 year ago 6

This has been spreading increasingly lately, players lagging, either intentionally or unintentionally, and with lag they avoid almost all shots coming at them but they're yet able to shot at enemy and cause damage.
This have been creating some arguments over the forum for people complaining about it as a bug and others seeing it as just a latency issue that is inevitable.
Either way this needs to be handled in someway because this laggin thing is ruining a lot of battles.
Most importantly CTF battles, because once the lagger got enemy flag, it's almost impossible to hit him, he starts lagging so hard, either intentionally or unintentionally, it still ruins the game.
This is either a bug or a suggestion to say here: Laggers should drop the flag just like in TO.
I'll give a quick example in a battle I just had with Shoaib where a player by the name: "II.Darkness.II" was intentionally or unintentionally lagging and abusing that lag to capture flags, although he is a hornet as you can clearly see, still he didn't die because he avoided almost all shots thanks to his lagging.

Long story short: Laggers should drop the flag.
~Thanks

If they lag, they will be self-destructed a few times as a penalty.

But that is not what is happening, you were in the battle

when they don't drop the flag is beacuse they are crashed (simply the game crashed or the internet) so for 2 minutes they will be immortal and run around randomly, when the player reconnects or gets kicked the flag will be dropped at the point he crashed

If someone lags due to internet disconnection, he self-destructs multiple times when the internet reconnects. I've experienced it multiple times.

Well if they lag make it so that the flag is dropped by them instead of blowing em up , as if the player is unintentionally lagging then the self-destruct may mess up his k/d. We all can agree if the flag is rather dropped.. so there's neither any loss to the other team nor the enemy player who is lagging unintentionally ..
