Why is the gold skin not as shiny as it is in the Garage?

The Gold Skin in the garage looked very shiny, so I was tempted to buy it. But now, after buying it, I go into a battle and play, the Gold skin isn't as shiny as it looks. It is kinda dull, exactly the OPPOSITE of what was in the garage. Why is it so? Can I get a refund[nah, I know that's not happening] or can the shiny-ness be increased?

Because it's golden not yellow. And you know how golden color is. It will shine in sunlight and will look dark brownish where the light is not reaching.

I tend to agree with you overall, but there are some situations that may come into play to cause it.

Do you notice that it seems to be brighter out in the sunlight than in the shadows? Also, the saturation on some maps, (Massacre, for example), is more intense than on others. I've noticed a few times that the colour almost looks copper, not gold. It could also be that some monitors and graphic cards don't display as well as others.

Here is a screenshot from Sandbox map, in the sunlight.

Yes, I agree with you. I an just not satisfied. Thanks, tho. Sorry to take up your time. :P

You're not taking up my time, I agree with you, but I don't see a lot happening about it any time soon, if ever. I'm sure they a have a lot bigger fish to fry than our little "problem". :P

I dont know if there necessarily do anything to fix it besides making the light in the map brighter or make it more reflective, which i think would be too much

Its all light and angle as lookouthereiam said, the material is built to be shiny.
