flag drops and ties score 5 seconds after timer reaches 0

I was just playing a match in Rio and the score was 4-5 at the last few seconds and the enemy had our flag...more specifically a wasp was carrying it and was a good distance away considering the time remaining. The timer hit 0 and the score was still 4-5 but then the score changed about 5 seconds later to 5-5. The wasp was too far away to make it in time so even if there was a lag on my computer (which there wasn't) then he wouldn't have made it until 5 seconds after the timer ends, which happened.

Could someone please fix this problem?

P.S. I didn't realize this would happen so I didn't record the event... sorry

Probably it wasn't you, but the flag carrier who was lagging. So when his client signaled to the server that he had reached his own base and delivered the flag on time, it took long to deliver and process that information, thus you only saw it after your (non-lagging) client already correctly had it's timer at 0, while the other player's client had not.

Weird...I think the enemy's client was 5 seconds behind yours with the timer or something...I don't really know.

That's about exactly what I was saying.
